40 years of Earth Day this year.Tim Hortons Earth Day 5K Walk and Fun Run
The 4th year for this event saw approximately 200 people come out and walk for the environment. Thanks to local citizens funds were raised for our annual 3-day Eco-Festival, an free educational event open to students across Hamilton from Grades 4-6. Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington has educated more than 43,000 students over the past 14 years.
Earth Day Tree Planting Festival
The park was filled with young people, seniors and families, enjoying the beautiful surroundings, amazing live entertainment, food, fun activities and eco exhibits. Over 1300 trees were planted to help restore the forest at Churchill Park. Earth Day Hamilton has coordinated the planting of more than 14,000 trees since 1997.
Buy a Rain Barrel and help raise funds for Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington programs
Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington has partnered with RainBarrel.ca. $10 from each rain barrel will be donated to Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington.
Go Green Challenge - the program has expanded. Registration will open September 30, 2010.

NEW! Look for the Waste Watchers at all of our events. This new Earth Day program is partnered with Clean City Liaison Committee, City of Hamilton, and Waste Reduction Task Force.
